Autac Achieves ADR Approval for Specalised Cables

We are thrilled to announce that Autac has achieved ADR approval for our range of cables from 0.75mm² to 6.00mm². This significant milestone covers specalised electrical cables designed for use in vehicles transporting dangerous goods, in accordance with the UNECE European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road (ADR). These cables have been certified by TÜV (Technischer Überwachungsverein), a renowned German organization that conducts safety inspections and certifications. The certification test report is referenced as 24-00055-CX-GBM.

Key Features of ADR TÜV Approved Cables

Voltage Test: Our cables are subjected to a test voltage to ensure they can withstand high electrical stress without failure.

Insulation Volume Resistivity and Insulation Thickness Test: This test verifies that our cables maintain proper electrical isolation by demonstrating a minimum insulation resistance.

Temperature Class Rating: The cables are tested to perform in extreme temperatures, typically ranging from -40°C to +85°C, ensuring functionality across a wide range of environmental conditions.

Abrasion Resistance Test: The cables undergo testing for high resistance to abrasion, crucial for maintaining their integrity in harsh automotive environments.

Chemical Resistance Test: Our cables are tested with various liquids, including oil, diesel, battery acid, engine coolant, water, and brake fluids, to ensure resistance.

UV Resistance Test: The cables are tested for resistance to UV radiation, essential for maintaining their integrity when exposed to sunlight.

Flexibility/Bending Test: The cables are evaluated for flexibility as specified in numerous ISO standards.

Environmental Tests/Long Term Heat Aging: These tests include exposure to ozone and weather conditions to ensure durability in various environmental scenarios.

Flame Retardancy Test: The cables are tested for their flame retardant properties to enhance safety in case of fire.

Conformity Test: The cables are tested to ensure they conform to national standards.

This approval further cements Autac’s position as one of the leading automotive cable and coil manufacturing companies. We continue to serve both OEMs and distributors with high-quality products across the global market.
